Leigh Farm Park

Project Details

• Restoration to repair six historic structures on the North Carolina Listings in the

  National Register of Historic Places including a tobacco barn, pack house, cabins

  and farm house.

• Restoration work included the stabilization of stone foundations and piers,

  replacement of rotten wood seals, logs, beams and floor joists as required to restore

  existing structures.

• Log structures repairs included replacing chinking and tuck pointing of chimneys. Existing porches at house and cabins were removed and rebuilt.

• The existing cedar shake roofing was removed and replaced along with the existing

  metal roofing including sheathing boards as required.
